First piece of putting back together our house was installing all new windows this past weekend. When we first bought the house there were 12 different window sizes through out the entire house....it took Christian about a week to re-size all of the window openings.
Our front door was also delivered and installed this weekend...which I am in love with. I'm still pondering as to what color we should stain the door...suggestions are welcomed!
The siding came as well which I couldn't be more excited about :) We decided to go with this material called fiber cement, not too sure what it is but I'm way to anxious to see the finished product. The colors are heritage clay and autumn red, it is going to look AMAZING. The red is being placed within the "triangle" part of the house...I know that is very nontechnical but let's be honest, I really don't know the anatomy of a house.
Siding should be going up this weekend so more pictures to follow....
Thank you to everyone who has sent messages and left comments...your kind words of encouragement and prayers are heartfelt and welcoming! Christian and I couldn't be more thrilled to share this exciting part of our life with all of you!
I feel horrible...it has been way too long since I've last updated the blog. To be honest, I have been border line going insane busy...not only with the house but also at work. I've vowed to myself to never go this long again with producing a quick little update as to where we are in the remodeling process.
We have been busy busy little bees and have gotten a TON done! I couldn't be more proud of Christian, he is working 16+ hours a day, he's lost 12 lbs (lucky duck) and every morning he tells me he has aged 10 years overnight :(
The best way to show off all of our hard work is through many many pictures. I hope you enjoy looking at the progress as much as I do!
